Visa launches payment application developer center
Visa launched the Visa Developer Center, a place where approved application deployers can access tools to assist in faster creation and rollout of payment applications, reports Outlook Series.
The center offers assistance in creating e-commerce and mobile applications that will enable online purchases of all kinds, including those made with Visa’s new digital wallet, V.me. To that end, developers will have access to application programming interfaces, simplified documentation and software development kits to aid them, including development tools by Visa and its subsidiaries CyberSource, Authorize.Net and PlaySpan.
Visa hopes this effort will entice developers to create applications for its digital wallet, which allows users to pay online or in person using a Visa or non-Visa account. Additional efforts are geared toward person-to-person payments, domestic and international remittances and mobile payments and services.
