VingCard Elsafe has completed installation of its Signature RFID electronic door locks at the newly renovated Royal Palm Plaza in Campinas, Brazil. According to VingCard, the Royal Palm Plaza is the largest hotel for events in Brazil, offering more than 500 rooms, four pools, three restaurants, two theme parks, a water park, and a cinema.
With Signature RFID, staff and guests can access rooms with the tap of a contactless device, such as a card, key fob, wristband or NFC mobile phones. Guests with NFC phones also have the option of checking in remotely and receiving their room key directly to their phone through SMS, allowing them to bypass the front desk and go straight to their room.
Signature RFID also provides staff with a 600-event audit trail and anti-cloning software. According to VingCard, the energy-efficient locks require fewer battery changes than traditional electronic locks, meaning less waste and reduced costs for hoteliers.
Signature RFID is compatible with the three RFID ISO standards, ISO 14443A/MiFare, ISO 14443B, ISO 15693, and the new NFC transaction platform for mobile phones.
