VASCO Data Security International will introduce its Association for Payment Clearing Services (APACS)-compliant Digipass smart card reader family to the London Banking Summit this month. Digipass 830 combines all VASCO’s smart card reader functionalities, such as e-signature calculation, with EMV-CAP compliance (Europay-Mastercard-Visa Chip Authentication Program), 3D Secure Internet Payment Authentication. The product meets the APACS user interface requirements such as an adapted key pad and a specific form factor for the device’s LCT screen.

Digipass 840 has the same functionalities as Digipass 830, with an embedded speech module, allowing blind and visually impaired customers to have the same level of secure access to a bank’s or e-commerce shop’s applications as other users. With Digipass 840, VASCO proves once again that accessibility is far more than brick and mortar.
