UPM RFID and partners have announced that they will exhibit innovative RFID solutions designed to streamline inventory management and reduce shrink and theft at the National Retail Federation’s (NRF) 100th Annual Convention and Expo.
UPM RFID together with Seeonic, Pittsfield ID Technologies, Retailers Advantage and Freedom Shopping will demonstrate technology from RFID systems that optimize inventory management and streamline customer checkout to EAS-RFID tags that reduce shrink and theft, and how it can be leveraged to boost profitability for retailers of all sizes.

A Seeonic inventory management system comprising UPM’s RFID ultra-high frequency ShortDipole and Web tags sourced through Shore To Shore, offering employees receive replenishment alerts, which ensure that top-selling items are quickly replaced to avoid out-of-stocks.

BatchComplete, a package encoding system from Pittsfield ID Technologies that uses software to encode individual items with UPM DogBone or other ultra-high frequency RFID tags that have already been packaged and boxed.

a3tags, intelligent EAS-RFID tags, from Retailers Advantage and UPM RFID, which capture removal date and time, allowing retailers to compare information with point-of-sale records. a3tags also provide merchants with a tool to prevent internal and external shrink, a critical problem in the retailing industry that has not been adequately addressed to date by traditional EAS systems.
