category: RFID
UPM RFID has introduced the new UPM Belt inlay design based on the latest Monza 5 ultra-high frequency RFID chip from Impinj. The UPM Belt product is geared towards item-level, logistics and supply chain applications.
The Belt’s special design take into account radio frequency requirements for close coupling which occurs when RFID-tagged items are stacked in close proximity to each other. This, and a compact 3″ form factor enable it to meet the requirements of most retail apparel applications.
The product has also recently been included in the Approved Inlay List for boxed electronics by the RFID Research Center of the University of Arkansas.
High volume production of the UPM Belt starts in May.
