Uniwell Systems, a distributor of point of sale systems, has integrated its electronic till platform with sQuidcard’s eMoney solution to enable contactless transactions with loyalty schemes in the UK. The sQuid service is based on contactless smart cards. Customers top-up the free prepaid card and use it at enabled registers.
“There is a big demand from our customers, particularly in the catering, business and industry, education and retail sectors to encourage the replacement of cash. Up to now, the bank schemes have not had much impact, but with sQuid we can provide a better customer experience, deliver improved management information and provide integrated loyalty services through our EPOS systems,” said Jonathan Hutchings, Uniwell’s managing director.
With an ability to provide an available-to-all prepaid card, with multi-purse technology, sQuid has been specifically designed to replace cash transactions in fast retail environments, and is also compatible with transport smart card applications.
