UK starts biometric checks upon entry to the country

Beginning today, border agents for the British Immigration Authority will be collecting fingerprint data from foreign nationals with biometric UK visas, entry clearances and identity cards upon entry into the country, according to a RTT News article. In addition to the new procedures for these entrants into the country, normal immigration procedures must also be followed.
For the new visa-carriers in the UK, their fingerprint checks that are made upon entry into the country will be compared to those which were submitted through their visa application to ensure the traveler is the same person.
