Scottish and Newcastle, a subsidiary of Heineken, has upgraded its InteliTap RFID keg tracking and management system to the recently launched VisibiliTy 4.0.
In 2001 Scottish and Newcastle (S&N) became the first company in the UK to implement RFID tags on their containers. S&N currently owns 2.1 million kegs, all of which are included in the InteliTap tagging solution.
The VisibiliTy upgrade helps S&N keep better track of their keg fleet’s population, cycle times and losses using Auto ID technology including bar codes and RFID tags.
The VisibiliTy software is an open source, standards-based, Web 2.0 solution specifically designed to track and record individual container contents, movements, maintenance, usage and efficiency.
