Turkcell launches NFC-enabled ‘T20’ smart phone

Turkcell has announced the official launch of its new NFC-enabled T20 smart phone.
Developed alongside Chinese telecom Huawei, the UICC and SWP equipped T20 will enable users to conduct contactless mobile payments via Turkcell’s MasterCard PayPass-enabled mobile wallet service, Turkcell Cep-T Cüzdan.
In addition to mobile payments, customers can use the handset to share information, transfer v-cards, view digital advertisements, personal-company id cards, e-tickets and tag readers and more, says Turkcell.
Additional features inlcude 3G HSDPA (7.2 Mbps) network support, 3.5 inch 320×480 (HVGA) resolution touch screen, 5 megapixel camera, MP3 player, Push e-mail, GPS, Wi-Fi, Compass and 4 GB MicroSD external memory.
Turkcell says it is also providing its proprietary TSM (Trusted Service Manager) as part of the Cep-T Cüzdan service, making it the first telecom operator in Europe to launch an approved TSM solution by MasterCard.
