Thales introduces upgrade to it’s payShield authentication

Thales information and communication systems now offers payShield Cardholder Authentication for its nShield Connect and nShield PCI Express hardware security systems. Thales’s payShield for nShield authenticates credit card users and protects encryption key transfers, credit card information and assists with PCI.
The system is already adopted in Web-based online banking applications including MasterCard’s Chip Authentication Program (CAP) and Visa’s Dynamic Passcode Authentication (DPA), as well as Visa and MasterCard SecureCode for online payments.
Customers can upgrade their credit card authentication security with Thales nShield Connect , which features HSM with dual, interchangeable power equipment. This works to enhance convenience and productivity of online transactions.
Compatible with technologies such as Java and featuring a C library, Thales’s payShield Cardholder Authentication for nShield can be installed cardholder authentication solutions like ActivIdentity, Arcot, Gemalto, and RSA.
