Talisman to deliver RFID solutions for amusement parks
VentureAxis and RFID n Print Pty. Ltd are joining forces to form Talisman, a new business focused on providing RFID-enabled solutions for secure access and sales promotions to amusement parks and attractions worldwide.
Talisman’s system will use RFID-enabled wristbands to grant guests entrance to the park. The bands will feature detachable coupons that users can use to receive promotions–such as entry discounts, free items–from park affiliates. Talisman can track and monitor these transactions to help parks tailor their sales strategy.
Headquartered in Las Vegas, Talisman is led by John Keast, co-founder and president, and Cindy McNamara, co-founder and vice president of business development. They have collaborated with Bruce Hegan, founder and president of RFID n Print Pty. Ltd, a manufacturer specializing in RFID, bar-coded and imprinted wristbands, on the definition and delivery of the new Talisman service.
Details of the new Talisman service, including a new product demonstration, will be revealed at a press conference at 10 am PST, Wednesday, Nov 18, 2009 at the 4ID Solutions booth #1059 at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) tradeshow, Nov. 16 – 20, 2009, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
