TagMaster selected for NY metro project
TagMaster has been selected to provide its RFID system for the rebuild program of Metro Railcar in Buffalo, New York.
TagMaster’s heavy-duty readers will be mounted onboard the trains to provide location information for passenger systems and between car barriers, which need to be activated when approaching stations.
The project will also use field programmable versions of the TagMaster heavy duty tag, which enables location information to be programmed into the tag at the time of installation, as required by the site installation team.
TagMaster was selected by the US division of AnsaldoBreda, and began installation on the metro vehicles in June 2010 with a delivery schedule linked to their rebuild program through to 2012.
