TagMaster was tapped for the installation of an automatic vehicle identification solution for access control in Conakry Harbour, West Africa. The installation is being handled by TagMaster system integrator, ETL Security of Conakry West Africa.
In its initial phase, the system will be used for the access control of trucks and vehicles driving in and out of the harbor where more than 500 trucks and 200 other vehicles deliver around 1000 tons of goods every day.
TagMaster RFID readers will be integrated with the port management system and control the barriers at the six lanes used for traffic, as well as control the access of pedestrians entering the harbor.
The project will also use the MarkTag MaX ID Tags from TagMaster. The MarkTag MaX is an ID tag which is permanently attached to the vehicle windscreen and which shows when the ID tag has been tampered with.
