The board of directors appointed Matthias Joos as the new CEO of Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems AG, headquartered in Cham/Switzerland, with effect August 6, 2007. The company’s previous director, Ralf Grammel, is leaving the company by mutual agreement.
In appointing its former Chief Technology Officer as Chief Executive Officer, Bibliotheca is consistently pursuing its strategy of expanding its technology leadership and lending international reinforcement to its leading position as an innovative specialist for customer-specific and integrated RFID solutions.
Matthias Joos has a Master’s degree in Techno-Mathematics with Computer Science and draws on 17 years of experience in software development and integration. He previously held executive positions with international companies. Joos doubled Bibliotheca’s development, technology and support capacities in the past year. “Our mission is to support our customers thoroughly and competently with the introduction of RFID technology,” explains Matthias Joos. Unlike other companies, Bibliotheca concentrates on developing its know-how with in-house staff.
In this context, the Project Management & Development Department is being restructured. As the new Chief Technology Officer, Christian Camenzind will be responsible for Product Management & Development. Uwe Brandenburg, new Chief Operating Officer from September 1, 2007, will head the Project Management, Support and Installation operations. Brandenburg joins Bibliotheca from NXP, a leading supplier of RFID chips, where he was active as head of software development. Uwe Brandenburg has more than 11 years’ experience in international project business and software development.
