Suprema Inc. has won the Mexican national electronic passport project. This project will develop a passport issuing system for 2.7 million electronic passports throughout the country.
Suprema has finished its initial shipment, which includes over 500 units of biometric and passport issuing devices such as the RealPass-V epassport reader and the RealScan-10 live scanner and BioMini fingerprint scanners.
Suprema has partnered with Mexican firm SIASA, which supplied the products to the Secretaria de Relaciones Exteriores’ bid winner. SIASA also provides on-site technical support for integrating the new products into existing infrastructure.
