Students at Cambrian College will want to make sure they have their student ID when entering the campus fitness center, or they may as well get a paid gym membership off-campus.
In January, the campus began enforcing policies which hits students with a fee for not having their student ID when entering the campus gym, according to a Cambrian news article.
So far the campus has collected 104 fines for no cards, totaling at $208.
The policy was brought in because of staff’s inability to monitor who is a student and who is not. Officials say that it’s extremely time consuming to make sure a student is registered.
