Visitor management identification and tracking software provider STOPware has introduced a new module to its PassagePoint GLOBAL product. This module processes visitors using PIV-compliant credentials in accordance with HSPD-12.
The module enables any federal agency with STOPware to use a single PIV card to verify and authenticate across agencies. It extracts cardholder information from any PIV, TWIC, FRAC or CAC card, then validates the holder’s PIN and matches the on-card biometrical information.
The module also verifies digital certificates and validates cards using FIPS-201 challenge-response protocol.
Upon completion of the cardholder validation process, the cardholder’s information, photo and Federal Agency Smart Credential Number is automatically entered into PassagePoint Global v 10 Visitor Management software.
