Snapper expanded to Wellington taxis

New Zealand’s Snapper has announced the expansion of its contactless payment system to taxis in the Greater Wellington Region.
Snapper customers can now use their contactless payment cards in approximately 700 taxis throughout Wellington, as well as hundreds of buses, retailers and the harbor ferry.
Snapper worked with TaxiCharge to expand the system, which is supported by the following taxi services: Wellington Combined Taxis, Hutt and City Taxis, Porirua City Taxis and Paraparaumu Taxis.
According to the company, approximately 135,000 Snapper cards have been issued to date, generating over 29 million transactions, across 400 buses, 700 taxis, and hundreds of retailers in New Zealand.
