Smart ID launches enrollment kit

Smart ID announced it will unveil its new biometric enrollment kit designed for the international marketplace at CARTES & Identification 2011 at the Paris Nord Villepinte exhibition centre in France.
The full kit from Smart ID includes a fingerprint scanner, iris scanner, laptop, additional monitor, Web cam, pen drive, offline KVA UPS, 500 GB of external storage, a laser printer and the capability of collecting and storing data on a person’s fingerprint, iris and facial data.
In addition to being able to collect biometric data, the kit is also capable of verification by any of the three modalities.
Beyond the biometric capabilities of the system, Smart ID officials are also touting the solutions full data entry capabilities in a mobile solution as the entire kit fits in a suitcase and comes with LED displays and a 10-12 hour battery back-up. Among some of the solution’s larger clients is the Unique Identification Authority of India who is using the Zenesis enrollment kit as part of its Aadhaar enrollment for its national Unique ID program.
