The Smart Card Alliance again plans to honor the companies and individuals who have had the greatest impact on the North American smart card industry in the past year with presentation of its “Outstanding Smart Card Achievement” (OSCA) awards at the CTST 2009–The Americas Conference May 4-7 in New Orleans.
The alliance is currently seeking nominations for the 2009 awards. More details and a nomination form can be found here. All nominations must be received by March 20.
Awards are presented in three categories, two for organizations and one for an individual:
-
Outstanding Issuing Organization Award goes to an organization issuing smart card technology to its internal clients’ or external customers’ use in North America.
-
Outstanding Technology Organization Award is for an organization that designs, develops or manufactures smart card technology or that provides services that support smart card usage.
-
Outstanding Individual Leadership Award will go to someone who has a record of leadership, vision, support and commitment to the smart card industry.
A judging panel consisting of North American smart card industry suppliers, end-users and individuals from the analyst and media communities will review qualified OSCA applications and will select three finalists in each category.
