The software, combined with silex’s fingerprint devices, allows enterprises to provide biometric authentication for access to PCs or computer programs, and physical access to buildings or rooms containing sensitive information, such as medical records.
New Software Provides Enterprises With the Ability to Manage Fingerprint Authentication Through the Network
SALT LAKE CITY – silex technology america, Inc. announced it has partnered with Sig-Tec, the software division of Signus Medical LLC, to provide enhanced authentication software that can be easily managed through the network for use with its family of biometric fingerprint devices.
The proprietary software delivers enriched networking capabilities that allows enterprises to provide fingerprint authentication for access to PC’s, computer programs, mobile computers and physical access to buildings, rooms or storage facilities containing sensitive information through the enterprise’s network.
The software suite can manage a full range of single to multifactor implementations from access to physical doorways to notebook computer authentication that goes far beyond other security options. The network- capable software eliminates the need for administrators to manage and configure the devices at each individual computer or doorway. Furthermore, if de-provisioning becomes a necessity, an organization’s IT staff can immediately deny access to people who are no longer employed or have lost privileges.
