SecureKey names Charles Walton as CEO

Charles Walton, formerly general manager and executive vice president of INSIDE Secure, , has been named chief executive officer of SecureKey Technologies, a Canadian developer of secure authentication solutions.
Walton, a 30-year veteran of the security technology industry related to authentication, smart card ID systems, NFC/mobile data systems and the bank card payments ecosystem, will begin his new job in August following his departure from INSIDE where he has worked since 2005.
SecureKey recently completed a $30 million strategic investment round and launched a new authentication service for the Canadian government that enables Canadians to use their bank authentication credentials to obtain access to online government services.
SecureKey provides authentication, payment and identity services. Financial institutions, healthcare providers, telecoms, and government organizations are using SecureKey today to provide two-factor and federated authentication and identity solutions. SecureKey is a privately-held company based in Toronto.
