Security companies SafeNet and OpenTrust have teamed up to offer a clientless PKI token and management system solution.
Geared toward the banking and financial services industries, the product gives clients secure remote accessibility from any location without the need for additional software. Clients can customize and manage authentication tokens with personal certificates and PINs.
This solution combines aspects of SafeNet’s eToken Pro Anywhere and OpenTrusts’s Smart Card Management products. It provides plug and play USB authentication and lifetime management of cards, tokens, certificates, devices, and digital applications. The system includes SafeNet’s Luna family of CCEAL4+ certified HSM solutions for server and application identity protection, as well as OpenTrust’s EAL3+ certified PKI.
“Integrating the Pro Anywhere token with OpenTrust’s software package makes it possible for firms to rapidly replace their painful legacy and free PKI with a new and innovative approach. Firms can retain control of key security areas while offering strong authentication services, electronic signatures, and the elimination of material support – all with complete freedom from the individual’s workstation,” said Olivier Guilbert, CEO of OpenTrust.
“The joint solution with OpenTrust demonstrates SafeNet’s data protection leadership through strong, flexible authentication technology, and provides an opportunity for any organization to implement efficient security solutions to help expand their business,” said Julien Champagne, sales director, Enterprise, France & Spain, SafeNet.
