Perhaps the biggest fear among consumer privacy mega-advocates, RFID-wise, is of tech-savvy fraudsters. Many – including members of the ACLU and other associations – fear that government-issued RFID badges and licenses will be easy to skim by strangers.
The RFID camp contends this is unlikely.
Still, it’s interesting to take a look at some of the “How-to” Web sites out there, whether you’re an RFID expert or a skeptic. Like this one, “How to build a Low-Cost, Extended-range, RFID skimmer.” Check it out.
