RFID in Healthcare Consortium featured in Nashville trade center
The Nashville Medical Trade Center will soon showcase the use and adoption of RFID and real-time locating systems (RTLS) technologies in the health care, assisted living and nursing home industries.
Market Center Management Company inked a deal with the RFID in Healthcare Consortium (RHCC) to develop this technology, integrating multiple companies’ products and services designed to improve patient care, safety and operating efficiency.
The complex will be developed in three phases – The Intelligent Hospital(TM), The Center of Excellence, and International Technology Pavilions.

The Intelligent Hospital will showcase solutions that incorporate auto-ID/Bar code scanning, RFID, RTLS sensors and wireless technologies designed to optimize and enhance workflow and enable rapid response to critical issues.

In the second phase, this will be complemented with the construction of an assisted/independent living home and nursing home room showcasing auto-ID, biometrics, NFC, RFID, RTLS, sensors, wireless and associated technologies in long-term care settings.

The Center of Excellence will be a comprehensive research, training, teaching and testing environment unique in the world for RFID, RTLS and associated technologies.

The International Technology Pavilions will feature internationally based manufacturers and suppliers of products and services within the RFID and RTLS industries who will present their latest advancements in their respective permanent showrooms.
