RF IDeas announced that it will upgrade its pcProx and pcProx Plus readers to support NFC and HID iClass SE Secure Identity Object (SIO) technologies.
Slated for release in Q4 2012, the upgraded readers will enable employees to redeem ID and access credentials stored on their mobile phones, or any other NFC-enabled device, with just a tap.
With the iCLASS upgrade, the readers will also be able to leverage next generation credential features such as layered encryption, digital signatures and diversified keys. According to RF IDeas, these new security elements provide proof of user identity and proof that the data on the credential has not been altered.
RF IDeas will demonstrate the revamped pcProx and pcProx Plus readers at ASIS 2012 in Philadelphia, Pa.
