Connecticut-based Queralt LLC has introduced Q.Trak, a complete time and attendance solution using active RFID tags. The solution automatically tracks people as they move between locations, meetings and entry points, enabling companies to segregate staff by authorization levels and make scheduling and logistics decisions based on data from the system.
As a real world example of the system’s abilities, Queralt points to its deployment at an Illinois medical center. At the facility, Q.Trak is used to track the time doctors spend in the emergency room where their billing rate is higher. Q.Trak provides an automated activity report on each doctor for billing and reimbursement, historically a manual process.
The Q.Trak RFID Time and Attendance Package, with a starting price of $4995, consists of an active RFID reader with a read range of up to 1,000 feet (with optional antennae configurations) and 50 active ID badge tags, along with Windows-based time and attendance software which can track thousands of individuals.
