Privaris, a developer of biometric identity verification technologies, has announced the release of a new version of their plusID system, plusID Manager Version 2.0; an identification verification token for both physical and network access control.
The aim of the new system is to ease the trouble large companies have rolling out their token system to large numbers within the organization. The plusID system is ready out of the box and works with existing access ID card readers, Windows Certificate Services, and Logical Access Support Package. This will enable a user to do away with ID cards as well as windows and other PC access passwords in lieu of the new tokens.
Additionally, the tokens can operate on either a two or three-factor authentication and link up to PCs via Bluetooth or USB. Provaris sees the new system as the answer to their client needs for a more streamlined way to incorporate biometric token systems like plusID into their security infrastructure.
