Polish bank rolls out contactless debit cards

Poland’s Citi Handlowy has begun issuing Citi Handlowy MasterCard PayPass contactless debit cards, according to istockanalyst.com.
Citi Handlowy clients can now exchange their existing debits cards for contactless cards free of charge by calling CitiPone or sending a request through Citibank Online.
According to Citi Handlowy, the new debit cards feature a microprocessor that speeds secure transactions, an exclusive discount program and the possibility of connecting the debit card with a foreign currency account in euros.
Polish PayPass cards are now accepted at McDonald’s, EMPiK stores, Zabka stores, CoffeeHeaven cafà chain and Kolporter press stores.
