PointRF expands SafeTSense patient behavioral monitoring portfolio
PointRF, a developer of safety and security solutions for the health care industry, will debut its variable wetness sensing wireless SafeTSense diaper system at the HIMSS 2013 Annual Conference and Exhibition.
PointRF Solutions’ wetness sensing diapers expand the SafeTSense product portfolio, which includes pressure-sensing bed, wheelchair, and floor pads that alert staff to emergencies, such as falls, as well as behavioral patterns, such as sleeplessness, which can be indicators of patient health issues.
The SafeTSense diaper system alerts staff to wetness detected in real time, creating a shift from scheduled diaper changes to notification-driven diaper changes, as well as reducing the potential for patients to develop harmful sores.
PointRF SafeTSense products are designed to be deployed in every room, every bed and every wheelchair, with granular monitoring and reporting on everything from how much patients toss and turn at night to the frequency with which they get out of bed, to what time they get up in the morning and more. SafeTSense gives staff the information necessary to better engage with patients and design proactive, superior care plans.
By integrating the NoWander safety and security platform scheduling tools, facilities can use SafeTSense products to automate, track and document activities such as bed turning and now diaper changes.
PointRF will highlight the value of monitoring the activity of all patients at HIMSS13, Booth #8547, beginning March 3, 2013 in New Orleans.
