Placecast has announced the launch of ShopAlerts Wallet, a white label mobile wallet solution that combines location-based offers with mobile payments.
With ShopAlerts, customers can receive, save and use offers via their mobile phone. Users can search manually for offers based on location, keyword or category, or receive them automatically through SMS or push notifications based on preset preferences. An Inbox feature lets customers save, delete or share their collected offers through Facebook or Twitter.
To process payments and redeem offers, the Wallet plugs into any payment processor, supporting plastic credit cards, NFC and carrier billing, according to Placecast. It can also integrate with other third-party services to store and manage tickets, gift cards, brand reward cards and transit passes.
The HTML5-based solution can be integrated into existing mobile apps by credit card companies, mobile operators and retailers through a set of Placecast’s API, or through the company’s “reskinnable” HTML 5 Wallet.
