As part of a new partnership with RSA Secured Partner Program, Ping Identity has certified that their PingFederate technology is compatible with the RSA’s SecurID two-factor authentication solution. This collaboration will result in a comprehensive user-friendly solution to authenticate to a range of Cloud identity applications.
The new software, the PingFederate Integration Kit for RSA SecurID, will directly connect PingFederate running at an Identity Provider site with RSA Authentication Manager. A SAML or WS-Federation assertion tool is transmitted immediately to the service provider if or when a user has attempted to access the Cloud application. The Service Provider then grants the user access to the application. There is no need for an internet password because the user is never asked to directly login to the application. This works to eliminate the step that often yields unauthorized access.
RSA services 40 million people across more than 30,000 organizations worldwide, while PingFederate delivers its Cloud solutions to more than 30 of the Fortune 100 and 175 SaaS and BPO providers.
