Philadelphia to offer reloadable smart parking cards

For three years, those visiting downtown Philadelphia have been able to pay for parking with a smart card that could be used in the city’s parking meters. There was just one problem: residents had to buy new smart cards once their existing ones ran out of value. That will change in July when the city will begin offering reloadable and contactless parking cards.
The Parking Authority will begin installing a new type of multi-space kiosk which will be able to accept debit and credit cards as well as cash.
