PeaceHealth reduces costs with Versus RTLS
PeaceHealth’s Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend deployed the Versus Advantages real-time locating system (RTLS) for clinical automation and better visibility of patients, staf, and assets.
Using the Versus RTLS system, PeaceHealth was able to switch from a lease/rental model to a purchase model for IV pumps – reducing their fleet while still ensuring the availability of equipment for staff.
The medical center was able to reduce their fleet by 26%. And according to a study facilitated by PeaceHealth Finance this translates into an immediate cost avoidance of approximately $600,000 and a $2.7 million dollar savings over 10 years for IV pumps alone.
PeaceHealth is in the process of expanding the Versus Asset Module to other assets including syringe pumps, feeding pumps and PCA pumps.
