Pantech launches ‘fortune-telling’ biometric cell phone with AuthenTec Fingerprint Sensor

A Korean cell phone company has added a fingerprint sensor to its multi-function phone. Besides protecting the data in the phone, the new system will also tell the person’s fortune based on his/her 10 fingerprints and allow the user to speed-dial up to 10 numbers or create 10 different text messages by swiping a different finger across the sensor.

Pantech has added AuthenTec’s EntrePad AES2510 fingerprint sensor to its new PCK-6000 phone, an advanced multi-function phone that is available through KTF, one of Korea’s largest service providers.
