Sound Transit, the operators of the ORCA Card, are receiving more than 700 complaints a week from riders with complaints that money isn’t showing up on their cards when the reloading is done online, according to a Komo.com report.
The issue stems from people reloading the ORCA card online and a spokeswoman says the smart card system takes at least 24 hours before money you pay shows up on your card. The agency suggests putting money on your ORCA card days before you actually need it.
If a rider needs funds right away, money can be added at kiosks at the Link or Sounder stations.
