Oberthur Technologies and Zvetco Biometrics are collaborating on a biometric authentication device designed for government and company computing environments.
The companies will combine the Oberthur ID-One PIV smart card with Zvetco Biometrics Verifi fingerprint readers. The smart card complies with HSPD-12 and is FIPS-201 compliant for physical and logical access control. Its applications include authentication, digital signature, fingerprint on-card comparison, encryption, cashless payment and post-issuance management.
The P6000 and P6500 Verifi fingerprint readers are on the GSA Approved Products List and meet FIPS 201/PIV standards. Zvetco’s readers comply with industry standards for better integration.
The combined product will allow businesses of any size to integrate biometric authentication for their physical entry, network logon and legacy application needs.
