NXP and Intrinsic-ID partnered to create a demonstration platform to showcase a new security technique. The demonstration uses Intrinsic-ID’s Quiddikey solution to enhance the security level of SmartMX-powered assets against many forms of attack.

The smart card demo shows the characteristics of HIS-based key storage method. The difference is the key is extracted from the hardware instead of storing it.

This new technique allows the device to only generate a password when needed, and power down when no key is present.
