European provider of returnable transport packaging for the flower and plant industry, Container Centralen have selected Nordic ID as part of Container Centralen’s Operation Chip It.

Operation Chip It is a tagging operation in which all 3.5 million CC Containers get new tags. This is to protect the CC Pool System from illegal copies of CC Containers.

Container Centralen will be utilizing Nordic ID PL3000 handheld scanners with the horticultural industry software to ensure freshness and to verify the origin of products.

After the operation is complete, only original containers produced for Container Centralen with the original RFID tag will be accepted in the pool, thus illegal copies are easily detected, as they do not hold the original RFID code.
