The Kaduna State Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board in Nigeria has announced that it will be utilizing technology from biometrics provider M2SYS to assist with the enrolling of more than 8,000 pilgrims into their system. Further, the system will allow for the board to verify each pilgrim in attendance at Haji in Mecca as well as eliminate issues with multiple registrations for one person.
The M2SYS technology being utilized is their Bio-Plugin fingerprint solution which will enable the board to both enroll and store the biometric data collected.
Muhammad Shauibu Umar, Consultant of Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, has reported that the solution should fit all their needs of being to ably identify who is joining the pilgrimage while eliminating those blacklisted from the pilgrimage for past offenses as well as fraudsters and repeat registries.
