NFC Forum welcomes Canon, HP, Yahoo! Japan and 24 others

The NFC Forum has announced that Canon, HP, and Yahoo! Japan have joined the organization as Principal members, along with 24 other new Associate, Implementer, and Non-Profit members from across the NFC ecosystem.
In addition, Infineon Technologies has raised its level of membership from Associate to Principal, the second-highest level membership in the organization.
According to the NFC Forum, Principal members are entitled to appoint voting representatives to each of the Technical, Ecosystem, and Compliance Committees and Working Groups. Principal members can also designate individuals to run for positions leading Committees or Working Groups, propose initiatives and contribute to the development of Forum projects, and participate in the NFC Forum testing and certification program using their own in-house test labs.
New Associate members include: BKM, CanvasM Technologies Limited, Dialog Semiconductor GmbH, Harman International, Huawei Technologies, Integrated Device Technology, Interac Association/Acxsys Corporation, Nordic Semiconductor ASA, Polar Electro, Stonestreet One, Wipro Limited, and Zebra Technologies Corporation.
New Implementer members include: Advanced Card Systems Ltd., Athena Smartcard Solutions Inc., BURY Sp. z o.o., Constratus, Crosscliq, DUALi Inc., Fujitsu Limited, GN Netcom A/S, RapidNFC, and Samsung SDS.
CITC-EuraRFID and Hungarian Mobile Wallet Association joined the organization as Non-Profit members.
