The NFC Forum has announced a webcast entitled “NFC Goes Vertical: Introducing NFC Forum Special Interest Groups,” which will take place on Jan. 24th at both 11 a.m. EST and 9:00 p.m. EST, with a third offering on Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. JST.
The webcast seeks to address the growing NFC market, and with 100 million NFC-enabled devices in the market at present — and many more on the way — NFC is gaining significant momentum in some key vertical markets.
To encourage and facilitate the growth process, the NFC Forum is launching Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that will unite leaders from the Consumer Electronics, Health care, Payment, Retail and Transport sectors to collaborate on NFC implementation, interoperability, best practices and future requirements solutions.
The webcast will explain in detail the NFC Forum’s new SIGs, their role in each prospective industry and the implications that their introduction will have on the NFC landscape.
