New web functionality and other exciting changes on deck for the coming months
As we approach the one-year anniversary of the creation of ContactlessNews, allow me to update you on the progress and plans we have for the remainder of the calendar year.
First, our staff has been working diligently to take your recommendations and incorporate them into the publication and web site. Our circulation numbers have grown significantly month after month, and with it our web traffic has grown tremendously.
We have had a number of requests by web visitors to include a search function to facilitate research on a particular application or company. With hundreds of articles archived on the site, this newly launched search function helps put a wealth of contactless research and news in an easy to navigate format.
Other visitors wanted an easy means to send articles and items found at ContactlessNews.com to friends and colleagues. This functionality was added to the site earlier this month. In the first week alone, several hundred messages were generated from the new service.
Next, we have several important conferences that we will be covering in the next two months. The annual CARTES Exhibition in Paris–always among the best showcases and educational opportunities for contactless technology–will be well-covered in the next issues. And, we will be onsite at the industry’s newest conference, InsideID. This conference, to occur in Washington D.C. in December, is the creation of Ben Miller, original founder of the Cardtech Securtech event.
Finally, we are preparing our inaugural edition of the ContactlessNews Buyers Guide. Thanks for supporting our efforts in the past and stay tuned! There are some exciting things in the works for the remainder of 2003.
