Ringdale, Inc. announced FollowMe® Hospitality Print™, which brings a new class of connected services to hotels that cater to business travelers. FollowMe Hospitality Print enables guests to access the hotel’s printers from their own laptops in the privacy of their rooms. The process is as easy as 1, 2, 3 – guests print their documents to a virtual print queue on a secure server. Once the documents have been uploaded, guests are prompted to enter their last name and room number. That’s all they need to do until they are ready to walk up to the printer and retrieve their output confidentially by authenticating themselves at the printer by using a touch screen interface embedded in many manufacturers’ front panels, or via any other identification technology, such as keypad, swipe, proximity or smart card, or fingerprint reader.

New Solution Offers Convenient, Confidential Printing to Hotel Guests
AUSTIN, Texas, May 24– Ringdale, Inc., the pioneer in secure document output management, today announced FollowMe(R) Hospitality Print(TM), which brings a new class of connected services to hotels that cater to business travelers. With security built-in to the solution, guests can print their own documents when it’s convenient for them – not the other way around.
FollowMe Hospitality Print enables guests to access the hotel’s printers on their own laptops from the privacy of their rooms. The process is as easy as 1, 2, 3 – guests print their documents to a virtual print queue on a secure server. Once the documents have been uploaded, guests are prompted to enter their last name and room number. That’s all they need to do until they are ready to walk up to the printer and retrieve their output confidentially.
“As most business travelers know, trying to print documents while you are a guest in a hotel is inconvenient and at times, impossible,” said Klaus Bollmann, chief executive officer, Ringdale. “Hotels that provide FollowMe Hospitality Print create a competitive differentiator that helps guests stay productive while they are on the road, just like high-speed Internet service.”
Hotels can easily integrate FollowMe Hospitality Print into their back-office data management platforms. The FollowMe Q-Server that secures the print process from the client all the way to the printer can run on a localized or centralized system, depending on the hotel’s configuration.
FollowMe Hospitality Print uses the same technology that was developed for Ringdale’s FollowMe family of secure document output management solutions.
The unique roaming architecture built into FollowMe offers a centralized system for printing documents securely on any print device within an organization. To retrieve their print jobs, users must first authenticate themselves at the print device by using a touch screen interface embedded in many manufacturers’ front panels, or via any other identification technology, such as keypad, swipe, proximity or smart card, or fingerprint reader.
FollowMe also provides a powerful accounting and auditing solution for organizations that need to allocate or recover costs associated with printing.
On multifunction printers (MFPs), these capabilities extend to other services such as copying, faxing, scanning and digital sending.
FollowMe Hospitality Print is available immediately. Further information on this solution may be obtained at http://www.ringdale.com/followme or by calling Ringdale at 1-888-288-9080.
