Voxeo has released a new security suite of products designed to fight social engineering attacks and fraud.
The security suite provides identity verification and streamlines the authentication process so that attackers cannot access personal information culled from online public databases and social media sites. Attackers use this information to manipulate call center employees into sharing confidential information.
The suite consists of seven products. Voxeo ANI Verifier analyzes the phone number on incoming calls to check against Caller ID/ANI spoofing. Voxeo Toll Verifier monitors outgoing calls to track unusual calling patterns and block premium-rate toll fraud. Voxeo Voice Verifier and Voxeo Location Verifier provide voice authentication and location-based services, respectively. Companies can secure automated credit card transactions with Voxeo Payment Verifier. For PCI compliance, the suite includes a PCI Verifier and PCI Hosting.
The security suite comes as API web services in Voxeo’s hosted cloud. Customers can access the APIs through both Voxeo hosted and customers’ premise-based platforms.
Voxeo will showcase its security suite at this week’s SpeechTEK 2012 taking place at the Marriott Marquis New York.
