New research shows British ready for biometrics

Research from biometrics developer Unisys suggests that the British citizens are more willing to move forward with biometric adoption into their regular lives than previously thought, according to an IT Pro article. Additionally, in the same survey, Unisys uncovered that many more trust biometric technology than trust their government or financial institutions.
The total percentage of respondents in the Unisys research that decided they would like to have biometric authentication ensuring it is them gaining access to their personal accounts and data totaled 56%. Beyond this, Unisys also determined that among those interested in moving towards biometrics, 95% would be willing to utilize fingerprint-based technology with 90% willing to utilize iris-based technology.
