Pic4Pass, a division of biometric technology developer BioID, has developed an online photo-based identification service.
The site, which purports to be the first of its kind, is designed to assist consumers with the creation of ID photos at home that would still comply with governmental regulations on IDs such as biometric passports as well as working for other ID applications such as driver’s licenses, green cards, visas, health cards and membership cards.
The service was designed to meet the needs of consumers around the world that need to comply with their own country’s biometric ID requirements as well as some requirements foreign countries have for their immigration and visa programs.
Additionally, the service is intending to serve as a trusted source for ID photos that also knows the regulations for each ID program around the world as they consider both the relevant national laws and regulations for biometric ID photos, international standards, and the guidelines for biometric travel documents of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
