nanotron Technologies, a provider of wireless products that help to protect and find people, animals and valuable assets, has entered the South African mining industry through an agreement with RF/microwave distributor, RF Design.

Mining vendors will now be able to utilize the Berlin-based company’s proximity-awareness CSS technology for avoiding heavy mining machinery collisions with people or assets, thus improving mine safety.

From the three RF Design offices in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban, nanotron’s customers in South Africa will be provided with support in technical design as well as assistance for any supply chain related need.

In addition to mining, nanotron’s robust products are also set to improve safety in the demanding South African construction, industrial and power generation industry sectors.
