Multi-card buffer module available for Datacard printer
Datacard Group, which issues secure ID and card personalization solutions, has rolled out a multi-card buffer module for its MX2000 card issuance system. The main purpose of the new module is to hold cards in order to maintain data order when a reject occurs.
The module will help card issuers reduce costs due to rejected cards by rejecting only the bad card and holding any accompanying cards until a new card can be made. The module can also maintain throughput by holding cards in the buffer until downstream processes are ready, which allows the system time to process the data.
