Motorola has released its new MC3100 series of mid-range mobile computers designed for key-based and touch-screen applications, such as price/stock management, inventory control, returns processing, shipping and receiving, baggage tracking and asset management.
The MC3100 series is equipped with the Marvell XScale PXA320 624 MHz processor, the most powerful XScale processor. Additionally, each new computer comes outfitted with an integrated UHF RFID tag that allows customers to track the movement and location of the mobile computers to maintain a real-time inventory of assets.
The MC3100 also incorporates Motorola MAX Sensor, a new Motorola innovation that supports a number of motion-sensing applications: for example, organizations can increase worker accountability by detecting and logging device drops and improve power management by enabling the MC3100 mobile computer to automatically revert to sleep mode when not in use or if the display is face down.
